Stay safe, be kind
Our Community guidelines, plus tips for meeting someone new.
Short rules that keep MeetMe a place for real people looking for something real. Break them and we act, and some lead straight to a ban.
Be real
Use your own photos and your real age. One account per person, and never pretend to be someone else.
Be respectful
No harassment, hate or threats. A pass is a pass, so take no for an answer.
No nudity or sexual content
Keep photos clothed and non-sexual. That goes for profiles and chats.
No scams or money
Never ask for, offer or send money, gifts or airtime. No selling or promotions.
No one under 18
MeetMe is for adults only. Never contact or involve a minor in any way.
No sextortion
Threatening to share someone’s images or secrets is abuse and a crime.
Before you meet
- Video call first to check they are who they say.
- Never send money, airtime or gifts.
- Keep chats in the app, where our safety tools work.
On the date
- Meet in a busy public place.
- Tell a friend where you’ll be.
- Use Share your date and the “Are you OK?” check-in.
If something feels wrong
- Leave. You don’t owe anyone an explanation.
- Block and report them in the app.
- If you’re in danger, call emergency services.
In danger right now?
Call local emergency services first, then report in the app. TODO(legal): confirm numbers.
How to report
Reporting in the app is the fastest way to reach our team. The person is never told who reported them.
- Chat with shield icon
1. Open their profile or your chat and tap the shield.
- Report reasons sheet
2. Tap Report and pick what happened.
- Report sent + block
3. Add details if you like and send. Block them too, so they can’t find you.
